Default 2008 autox schedule?

i saw the sticky with the google calendar, but there's only a handful of events listed. shouldn't the schedule be out by now, or has it just not been put up yet?

also, anyone interested in going to those gingerman events in april, maybe we should get a wagon train together?

It's a little early yet. We have the the most hardcore AutoX'er signed up to manage the calendar here. He will be ALL over it as clubs start to post their schedules.

Some of the SCCA clubs have put up their schedules, but I've been waiting for some of the smaller local clubs to post up their dates. I'll try to post some of the available dates this week.

I'll be there. A bit more of a hike for me once I move downtown, but shouldn't take me too long in the morning.

Roof helmet? You mean roof (hardtop) or helmet? If you're looking for a helmet, I recommend Northstar Motorsports out in Barrington. Last time I was at Chicago indoor racing, I think they mentioned that if you say that CIR referred you to them you could get a discount. www.northstarmotorsports.com

i'm hoping that some clubs will hold event at the new toyota park stadium A.K.A. chicago fire soccer field.
that place is like 15 minutes from my house and 5 from where i work.
BMW/firestone held a driving event there and they had nopi drift event schelduled but then cancled only because they double booked.

all other autox events are at least 30 mins from me.
rt.66--- 30 minutes only because theres no traffic at 7 am sat. morning
maywood park--- 30 minutes only because i used to go to school across the street from there and know my way around that area.
CLC---45 minutes.
autobahn CC--- same as rt. 66 but add a few more because you gotta drive through them damn farm area.
tire rack---HA! pack a lunch
and everything else is farther away.
