Default Anyone in Twin Cities with Comptech SC

I am going to go with an SC and have been waiting on the BRP kit, and waiting and waiting.

If that one seems like it will never come out would probably go with a Comptech kit. Not sure with or without AC.

Looking for someone with one in town who would be willing to tell me about ups and downs with theirs, give me pointers on install or recommend a shop, and possibly give me a ride.

You could choose to let me behind the wheel for a quick spin if you like, if not I totally understand, I am very picky about letting people drive my car. Just looking to get a sense of what it adds in a quick run though the gears and not looking to go out and abuse somebodys toy.

I have heard that people like the comptech a great deal but were a little disappointed when they first put it on because they were expecting more and am looking to have some kind of baseline of information.

If you want to volunteer, PM me please. I am heading to HI to get married and be gone for a couple weeks.

TIA

Go Vikings.

I don't have a s2000..........yet. But i have seen a supercharge S at a meet. It had a Paxton supercharger, that thing looked huge. Sorry i'm not of any help, since you mention MN i decided to drop by. MN is not alive in these threads at all???

Well, i took some photos at the meet (MapleWood Toyota parking lot, meet was organized by MNsportcompact.net)

I had the Comptech on my car and have since removed and sold it. It is a great unit (build quality, fitment, installation, reliability) dont get me wrong, but I wasnt all that impressed with the performance per dollar. The car pulled extremely hard in the top rpms of 3rd and up. This to me isnt where I want my power. Im going with a healthy set of gears and staying N/A. I would go turbo if I were to step back into the forced induction world with the S2000. Just my 2 cents.

SWEET callaesthetics, you got some shots of my car on a day I didnt bring my camera! Yea, I agree, MN is totally dead in this forum it seems.

Yea, that was my car. IMO, the CTSC didnt pull as hard as I thought on the low end, but I guess if it did, traction might have been a problem. I actually like it this way better. I'm gonna up it to 7lbs soon and see how that feels, but honestly I'd be happy with what I have already. So in a nutshell, I have no complaints of the CTSC.

Wow, pics look neat.

Maybe I should wait for a BRP kit, what I want is immediate "go" in 1-2&3 for around town. Lots of torque.

Speaking of the Twin Cities, we need to organize another MN S2k meet. Would anyone be interested in doing a dyno-day or something? I have a friend who runs/owns a shop in Plymouth with a Dynojet that I'm sure he'd love to use for an event like this. If not that, how about at least a mini-cruise before the snow flies?

I'm game. I'll be putting the car away after the 2nd or 3rd light snowfall which I hope is early this year. I have a 800cc Ski-Doo MXZ that I'll be tearing the trails up with.
