I registered the other night. Any other S2k'ers going there?

 

Got the email last week. Added to the calendar. Can't make it this weekend.

APRIL 3-4, 2010
OPENING SEASON OPEN TRACK WEEKEND
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
SIGN UP FOR BOTH DAYS AND YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY ENTERED INTO RAFFLE FOR FREE TRACK TIME!
Saturday 9am - 5pm $150.00 full day PER DRIVER
Sunday 8am - 10am, 12pm - 5pm $150.00 full day PER DRIVER
Pre-Register for both days and cost is only $250.00!!

 

Who is putting this event on, is there a link? I don't know if I can make it or not after last weekend, but I might be able to swing it.

EDIT: Never mind, I found the info I needed from the Track Calendar

 

Seems like more of a test and tune than a track day. The difference? There won't be any instruction (afaik). Not a good idea for anyone's first track day, or for any beginners that can really benefit from instruction.

 

^ Does that mean there won't be separate run groups? I'd hate to turn up with a bunch of seasoned drivers, that would not be good.

 

Looks like there will be a novice group.

Send an email with all necessary info: Name, address, phone, which day you are participating in, vehicle make model and year along with emergency contact information.

· Previous track experience is a must!
· Pre-registration is required.
· Pay upon arrival to Gingerman at registration.
· Drivers must attend drivers meeting 15 mins prior to start of Motorsport event.
· Every person entering facility must sign K&K Insurance waiver upon entrance.
· Helmets must be SNELL or DOT 2000 or newer. Helmet will be inspected at time of registration.
· No passengers are allowed.
· Convertibles must have roll protection.
· All vehicles must have functional safety harnesses or safety belts worn at all times while on road course.
· Hands must remain inside car at all times while driving on course.
· If you suspect anything wrong with your vehicle, get off the course immediately!
