For those that thought is was a mis-shift or bent valves, it ended up being something that was much of a manufacturing defect. The bolts on the flywheel started backing out. Fortunately, it was caught and fixed before any bolts backed completely out and tore up the tranny as it spun.

The dealer simply needed to drop the transmission and re-tighten and re-torque those bolts. I also hope they used new bolts....especially seeing that this was under warranty.

This is the first time I've ever heard of that. Were the bolts making contact with another part of the transmission, or was the flywheel vibrating? I'm somewhat curious as the feeling I got sitting in the car and starting it isn't in line with what I'd expect of such a 'failure'.

Interesting, regardless, and I'm glad it was this and not something worse. Glad it all worked out for you Jeremy!

Great to hear you're back up and running already, Jeremy

I've got a few questions, but will wait until later at the meet.
