Default CAR STOLEN!

Hey guys my very good friend just called me saying that his 95 Purple Civic coupe, with quite alot of work done to it, was stolen from the woodflied theater parking garage. we came out side....no car. hes filling out the report now.

What the hell is going on around here with cars getting stolen.

Now I still need a ride home.

Let me guess, you went to go watch Fast and Furious? Sorry to read about your friend's stolen car.

Any pics? My guess is that it's sitting somewhere to see if LoJack finds the car in a day or so....if not, it'll be stripped, quickly.

Sorry to hear about the car.

I think the premiere of F&F was a car thief's wet dream with endless opportunities, it doesn't make it right by any means, but I can't say I'm shocked to hear it either.

At the F&F premeir there were three FULL theaters. LOTS of cars in the parking garage. (If fact it was kind of a pain to get OUT.)

So out of hundreds and hundreds of cars to choose from, a theif took a 95 civic? If it was taken from the premier, I would think it was someone targeting your friend. Someone who knows him, and probably someone with a similar car who wanted some of the parts.

Do you have any pics? That might help if people see it for sale somewhere. Also, you might want to post this up on Honda-tech.

thanks for the advice guys. we've covered most of the major forums and ill post pics asap.

Oddly enough it wasnt at the premier. it was the following day. There were fewer cars, but still, right out from the parking garage.

It just sucks that there is really nothing else that can be done, but thats what things have come to now i guess. makes me want to keep the S locked up with a chain connecting her to my leg!

really can't have a nice car anywhere these days without something happening to it. My S was a victim of theft last weekend as well. They ripped my soft top and stole my OEM seats.

someone should just do a bait car...like put an ITR out there and wait for these #$%^&*s to come. this would especially work if you guys have cop friends and they are willing to catch some of these guys.

thats not the way that works.

A. Having a "Bait" car is entrapment. (thats illegal)
B. The police would have to own the car, someone else's car would be a huge liability
C. The insurance on the "bait" car would be null and void if the car was "intended to be stolen".

"my friends an i were out playing baseball and it got dark. we were too tired to drive home so we sat and watched our car when we saw a guy trying to steal it. my friend is a bit of a dingbat. he always forgets his keys in the ignition and leaves the door unlocked.
we were trained ninjas back in our days in japan so it was second nature that we were dressed in all black and snuck up on the thief. then anger got the best of us. we tried to puch him but couldn't because baseball bats were clenched in our fists. so we hit him with the bats instead.
i swear officer that we weren't trying to bait anyone."

Has anyone heard of the car thieves ever getting busted? I would assume its the same few groups that are doing it around here. I don't understand why the cops aren't doing more about this.
