Chicago Police pick on middle class?
I've been living here in Illinois for over 2 years and when I use to drive my infinity I had 0 problems without a front plate. going to city, burbs.. what not.
Then first time I go to city with my 08 element, I come back to my car and find a F'ing front plate ticket??
WTF..
It's bad enough that middle class get f'ed over by the Govt, but seriously??
I see so many high end MBZ, BMW without licence plates driving around and the retarded metermaid has the balls to gimme a no plate ticket? Are you kidding me??
VENT~!

You're complaining for getting a ticket for something you did wrong? You were probably just parked at the wrong place at the wrong time.
The way I see it is I haven't run a front plate on my S in over 3 years. I don't really drive/park it too much in the city, but I have gotten a no front plate ticket once. $75. Fine by me. If there was a $25 per year charge not to run a front plate, I would pay it. Instead, I'll just break the law and pay as I go.

It's hard to get upset when you get a ticket for breaking the law.

BTW -- No front plate on the S for 5 years, no front plate on my old 'vette for 2 yrs, and none on the new vette for the last 7 mos. If I DID ever get a ticket, I would pay it, and move on.

i got a missing front plate ticket in des plaines a year or two ago. never got one in the city, where i lived for 3 years. unless the police think our cars are above middle class, then i guess it doesn't refute your claim, haha.

I rock a front plate tucked into the front grill with zip-ties because I can't afford the risk of paying $75 for nothing. I was driving top down along LSD along side an unmarked cop car, and after giving me a strange look for having the top down in ~40* temps along the lake, the passenger looked backwards, I'm sure to see if I had a plate. They look for any reason to give a kid in a sporty car a ticket, so I just play it safe.
It's all about the revenue, baby. Dickie needs every cent he can get because he gave huge breaks to companies like Boeing to lure them to Chicago (bringing jobs to the city, granted.)
I've not run a front plate, ever. Since 1984. In that time, I've gotten 1 ticket - while parked at Ohare, some time in the last 3 years (I'm sure I wrote it up on here when it happened.)
Hey Pete - how about that S'burg cop threatening us to beat it before he wrote us no plate tickets at the Hooters meet earlier this year?
They all want money. Econ is down, thus sales tax is down, thus they need those benjamins.
