Just for the record, Dustin, I did not mention you because the original poster was asking specifically about Chicago West Suburbs.

The critical maintenance item for 2006 cars (DBW) is a valve adjustment. Do this immediately and don't worry about the "best" engine oil for now. Both intake and exhaust should be set to the max spec as they get tighter in use, especially the exhaust. Too tight and they'll get burnt. Current Billman-spec for the exhaust is a thousandths over: 0.012".

No special engine needed for the engine. The spec is 10W-30. Available everywhere.

The differential does need hypoid gear oil as noted in your owner's manual. If you didn't get a manual you can download it on one of Honda's websites. Engine coolant and hydraulics are changed on a time basis, not mileage. The maintenance minder in the car keeps track of most of the mileage based stuff. Plenty of information on how to do this in this forum.

Thanks for the heads up on the values. Do you think this is something a dealer can handle correctly?
And how often do they need adjustment or how can you tell?

See my thread located in the UMW classifieds. I do a lot of S2000 maintenance and upgrades from all over the Midwest.

I'd recommend Dustin. I was very satisfied with his work, he completed the work on time, and his prices were quite reasonable.
