cool man. That is what i want to do first thing once i get the car out. Not sure what brand i want to use yet though. I ran Royal Purple in my civic si when i had it and the car seemed to run really nice ... not sure if it was any better than other brands though since thats all i used cause i got a deal on it.

Nothing wrong with royal purple, but check out this thread here.

Now, what about the other top synoils? Well, they were not tested here, but certainly the industry giants were. Based on tests I have run or seen from sources I trust in the industry, Red Line, NEO, Motul, and others would likely score in the top quartile of these tests. The tests anmd UOA's I have seen for Royal Purple have never shown it to be other than mid-tier, competitive with the synoil or GIII mineral oils from the major companies.

Yeah to each their own. I was simply trying to offer you a perspective from our local respected tribologist.

I currently have OEM honda oil in my car. But my case of valvoline synpower is waiting to go when i find someplace to change my own oil.

i think he was installing some other parts as well (bumper, etc) so he probably pulled the wheels off for ease of access.
