After 1 year of saving up $$ I finally have enough downpayment to buy a black s2000. I go to Motorwerks.... and all they have is 1 red 04!!!! The salesguy said the black ones are rare. Damnit. Now I have to wait till Monday to check out O'hare and Muller's Honda.

Go wherever you need to go to find the one you want.

Depends on what they are trying to sell you, and whats on the lot.

I also suggest you wait and find exactly what you want, otherwise you will be dissapointed down the road.

Thanks for the words of wisdom guys. It was tempting to just get the red one... it looked SOOOO damn good in the showroom. But I know I won't be satisfied unless I get a berlina black. There's just something about black cars that does it for me...

I got a price quote from Muller's Honda and O'hare over e-mail.

O'hare Honda: $31,155.00 including destination fees
Muller's Honda: $30,920.00 including destination fees

Muller's price quote is for the 05. O'hare said they have an 04 and an 05... but they didn't specify which MY the price is for.

What do you guys think of these prices? I'm going to check out O'hare first because it's a lot closer to my house than Muller's.

It's stickied at the top of this forum and it is where we post our responses to dealers in the area.

Don't worry, you and Gretle should be riding in style soon!

wait wait and wait...."your" car will eventually turn up!

the prices you got were good - but you can do better.

Try to negotiate add ons into the deal - if the dealers have hit their bottom line you might find they are more willing to add things to the deal rather than lower the asking price further.

I got mine 6 months ago for $31k and it included a full bodykit.

Good Luck!

You may want to consider giving a call to McGrath Honda in St. Charles. I was in there a couple weeks ago and they had an '04 Belina in the showroom. Not sure if it is still there, but might be worth checking just to get another price point. Noticed yesterday they have a silver sitting out from as well.
