Ok so I am looking to buy an s2k, I've been looking for almost 3 weeks now. But I need to sell my car and my motorcycle (just sold). But anyhow I've been looking to figure out which s2k I want, I've been looking at 2002's to 2000's. I want to get max of 50k miles, black or white ext, minimal or no mods, preferably adult driven, last weekend there was one for sale for 15,900 with only 31k miles on it... Too bad I didn't have my stuff sold... Anyhow.

Whats the big differences between the AP1 and AP2 cars? I have found some answers like a glass window, different engine, but I want to know specifics, what makes one better then the other. Also why does one drive better (if at all), what are the engine differences that effect performance and in which way do they effect performance (good bad), etc.

 

it would take hours to tell all about the differences between the years, and it has been debated to death which model is better. let me pull a few links for you, and you can read and decide which suits your needs better.

overall, the ap1 is a more raw car, while the ap2 is a bit more refined.

I think first you have to decide if you want to go AP1 or AP2. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, but given your price point, you're probably looking at AP1's.

 

if I had it my way . . . I'd have an AP1 motor, w/ AP2 interior . . .


but with that price range, you're lookin at ap1's

x2. love my ap1, but my buddys ap2 interior is so much better. But that is literally all i like about the ap2(besides headlight/taillight).
