Contemplating getting another S...
So I got rid of my S2000 back in July and I miss it so much. I didn't really think id miss it this much but I do, so now I'm thinking about buying another one. I live in the city and with my past experience with my old S (someone backed into my Amuse bumper twice and a kid hit me and messes up my RE30 and quarter panel) I think I'd be looking for an AP1 but an AP2 isn't out of the question. So my question is, have any of you guys/gals had any experience with buying a S2000 in winter? Are dealers willing to drop the price a good amount or does it not really matter? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hahaha....I hope I had some influence on your direction!!!
I've got a lot to say about this topic, which I'll type later; in short, I'll suggest that the best time to get an S2000 is during the Winter months (especially in a down economy).

I actually looked into just about any car in the S2000 price range and nothing seems to compare imo. Subarus are cool but I'd only get a 04-05 Sti and insurance is ridiculous. Nothing seems to catch my eye either, plus its a Honda!
After you told me about how you drove your S in winter, Urmil, I was pretty much sure I wanted back in...

Seems like people like to sell right before winter, so you're in a good position if you were to look around now. If someone's made the commitment to keep an S2000 at this weather, they're most likely to stick it out through the winter.
Also seems like a lot of people try to buy when it gets warm.
So I'd say buy now if you can find a good deal. Otherwise, dealerships get pretty desperate in the winter. I bought my first S in February of 2005. The car had been sitting there all winter. I wouldn't wait much later than that though.

Nice to know you're on your way back man.... the only other car that might compare is a Miotta....
I think you're hittin up the market at the right time.
BTW, there's lots of folks that drive through the wintaRrrr right? I'm thinking of Jeggy especially.... because he's hard-####ing-core like that.

I purchased mine in January! Kind of a scary test drive but it worked out on the financial side. Anywhere between now and end of Jan. would probably net the best deal. Just make sure you don't have to drive it home in snow!

I'm actually hoping to get it around December 16th (when I get my associates and transfer
) . I just hope I can find a nice, low mileage Berlina, although I'd love to get another LBP
Thanks for the responses!
