Anyone else notice this morning (8:30am - 9:30am) on the Chicago expressways?

Cop car every mile or so on the inbound and outbound Edens. It looked like one of the State troopers was using laser. I have never seen Illinois police using laser before. I hope they are not going to go Nazi like the Wisconsin cops.

Recently around that area my radar detector has been going off for "Laser" alerts.....

i took the edens home tonight, only from touhy to irving park. about halfway down, there were about 7 or 8 cops parked on the side of the rode, with a "sheriff" bus parked there with them. inmates on the loose!

 

what's the old saw about walking a mile in someone else's shoes?

not to start another pro/con cop thread or anything...

 

I saw a cop last night in Hanover Park in a Dodge minivan. A minivan!

I was about to tear by what I thought was a security van but slowed down quickly.

And yes I hate getting tickets, but if you speed you take the risk. That's why I rarely speed on public roads now. Really not worth it. For what I have to pay in fines, insurance, and time - I can get a few days in at the track anyway.

Cops contribute far to the greater good than to the dark side. The lightbulb will go off when you get robbed.

 

I really hope they dont use laser.... But yeah, I keep in under 15 over usually these days.... especially after my LAST ordeal. I dont think I have THAT much luck...
