Default Cracked Windshield

So I decided to take my car for a spin today since it was nice out. Me and my girl went to Woodfield Mall, cruising on 355 a car in front of me hit some gravel and send a rock on my windshield and cracked it!
So needless to say, I'm in need of place that does a good job to replace my windshield. Location and price will be much appreciated.

Call your insurance and have them handle it.

Most insurance companies will waive the deductible for just a windshield replacement

How bad is the crack? Maby it is fixable. I took my car for a drive on my bday and got my windshield cracked. I was so pissed off. We have a guy at my dealeship that i work at that replaces and fixes windshields, he fixed it for 50 bucks. I will get his phone number tomorrow if you want. If you go through your insurence they wont pay to replace it with oem windshield they will go with aftermarket.

It's not that bad, but I'm not sure what to consider fixable. I never had a crack windshield before. I always thought if you cracked your windshield it's pretty much junk. But maybe I can have your guy look at it and have him decide. Thanks.

I have never paid to have a windshield replaced. I always had insurance cover it.

If you didn't have it before, add it now. It's pennies.

I do have full coverage, but my deductable is $500. Or is their a different policy for windshield only? If so I never knew that. I'm going to call my agent and inquire about that. Thanks ruexp67.
