Detroit Lions?

Pete... no loyalty to your city?

Ouch... I lived perfectly 2.5 hours from Chicago and 2.5 hours from Detroit... my loyalties will ALWAYS lie with the Lions... (no matter how much it pains me... because victory is just that much sweeter when anguish and trial were overcome to get there... ANYone can be bandwagon... but what's the point.)
So for me... I never want to see Da Bears lose either... 'cept when they're playing the Lidowns...!!

...and YOU LIVE in Chicago Pete...
but anyways... The Vikings had the power to win that game against philly. It simply came down to a couple unfortunate decisions. Opportunity was MORE then there... but it was never seized. Most teams do not even have that.
So I feel that Philly is not impregnable... and the more Detroit Gels as a solid unit... the tougher they will become as well. Joey's comfort in his reciever's ability to make plays will be the difference maker this season. You could see that Roger's injury affected Joey's confidence and he rarely looked downfield against the Bears. The time's he did... he was rewarded with a dropped ball by Akim. This week gave him confidence in Streets and Williams.
Also... Bly should be back which will serve to slow philly's pass attack. The Lion's front four are the best at bend but don't break, and will get to Mcnabb more then once.
That is my take. I feel the lion's are capable this weekend. ...as our the Bear's... cause the difference between first and last is merely a Big Play...!!
Thanks All- tune in next week for more "Joe's Take"

BTW- SHIFT... how's the Fantasy squad doin'??

Detroit Lions are first in the division? What is up with that?

I'll root for Chicago Baseball, Basketball or Hockey, but I have ALWAYS hated the Bears.
My two favorite teams in the NFL are the Vikes and ANYONE playing the Bears.
The Philly game was rough to watch. There were some "questionable" calls in that game that I think made the difference. It's not that the Vikes wouldn't have lost the game, but I think it made it so they couldn't win.

My wife's side of the family is all Bear fans (I can live with that), I have a daughter (Packer fan) married to Viking fan (that's hard to take).
