Hello!

Do you have to carry a plate on the front of the car? I noticed in the recent meet pics that most did not have plates.

I'll be registering the car soon so I was curious.

 

By law you are supposed to have front plate on your car. However majority of the S2K owners in the area don't have their front plate just because it looks so much better without the plate. So basically if you don't have it on you have a better chance of getting stopped however they don't give you a ticket the first time. You get 30 days to put it on and show them.....Then you can just take it back off

Most likely they wont even stop you though since majority of the cars on the road don't have a front plate.

 

Ive gotton parking tickets for not having the plate so thats another thing that has to be considered. I shouldnt have been paralell parking her downtown anyways

 

I have mine on because I'm not the type to tempt fate.

I talked to cops and my eighbor who is a cop here in Chi and they said zero tolerance, so I never heard of them giving you a chance

Over the years, I've accumulated about 5 tickets. I had my plate near my windshield 3 of those times and it was obviously visible.

So finally last week I put my front plate on because I'm sick of the cops on my ass all the time.
