Ummm, there isn't much action going on in the "upper Mid-west s2000 owners" section. What's up with that?
hehe

We're all out driving, remember we only have about 9 good S2000 driving months.

9? I'd be happy with 6 or 7. (April - October)

Hey guys. I live in Charlotte, but am going to be working in Milwaukee for the next few months, so I was hoping to catch a local gathering or two while I'm up here. I'll be here 3-4 days a week through December, and would love to meet a few local owners if you get together at a pub or something. It'd be nice to check out the local mods, accessories, etc. and get a fix since I can't be around my "baby".

Sadly, I have a rental car when I'm here.

Milwaukee is only an hour or so from Chicago (depending on where in Milwaukee you're at, and where in Chitown you're going, and what time it is, etc), and those guys meet a lot - watch for gregstevens posting about C7/VOTA meetings in the events forum. Greg, harry (hecash), brad (meat), luder94, jason saini (and juliann), solo2racer, Nick (GTRpower), and numerous others are active here and in person, probably lots more I'm forgetting.

There's a handful of milwaukee guys but none are overly active here. Scott @ King might be here the most. I'm probably the most active cheesehead. Aquatic, myself, and a few others are in the appleton/green bay/oshkosh area which is about 90 minutes - 2 hours north of milwaukee, but we don't do anything as a group (aquatic hangs out with the chicago guys once in a while).

Your best bet is probably the Chicago guys.

Oh, it'll be crappy out by mid-late october, so you won't be missing your S2000 too much

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on the Chicago events, and will definitely try to get to some. Might even take the train so I can "play" and not have to drive back to Milwaukee on a school night (in a rental!). Thanks for the update. I'll keep an eye on the posts for fun in the neighborhood...

I may only have weekends at home, but I can go "top-down" all year! Enjoying the weather here now, though.

Does Mr Wong in "Ghost Town" have an S2000 yet?

I'm not so anxiously awaiting for my red one to come in. It is supposed to be here any day now. You should be seeing it around the South side soon.

Digger I agree with Brown County and the idea of a ride. Unfortunately, the rest of central Indiana will be thinking the same thought. Do you have any little known roads to drive on in that area? I'm not that familiar with the area. I think that it would be a lot of fun to go on a group drive, however.

I have a red 2001 that I just took delivery of a week and a half ago and have been driving the wheels off of it to get past the break-in mileage. That's why I didn't go to Cincinnati last weekend. I did finally get past the 600 mile break-in OK!
