Default Gingerman 9/4 (running backwards!)

Hey everyone,

Just thought I would share. I attended a track event yesterday up at Gingerman where they ran the course counterclockwise they whole day !

I have posted pictures on my Facebook page ( Matt Andrews ) and also will be uploading video from a go pro, I will provide the links shortly.

Big thanks to Steve ( user name is Clark? on S2ki ) He has a monster S2K and is a hell of a driver, he also helped instruct my friend and I.

Video's to come, also has anyone else done the course like this before ? looking for feedback or lap times. Seems like my fastest was like 1:57 or so but average around 2 min.

What a Blast !

So the event today ran nothing BUT counterclockwise? They ran the last session of WMHM this year that way, but I opted out to help get ready to leave on the early side.

I ran it CC a few years ago. Unfortunatly, it rained that day. While rain normally makes a track day more fun, it was WAY more nerve racking when combined with going backwards. Since all the brake markers are on the wrong side, and at track out. Plus I ALMOST spun coming out of turn 1 (which would have put me in the wall.) I ended up parking until it dried out.

Glad you had fun! Lookng forward to the video.

Glad you enjoyed it. Was that you that walked out to talk to Steve and myself and one other guy on Sunday night? I've never run counter clockwise at Gingerman before, so I only know times for Clockwise. Have had the opportunities, but they just didn't work out. Hope to see you out there sometime.

aCab,

Yup that was me ! How did Monday go? I really need to stop running out of Gas leaving Gingerman. My last lap I had two bars of fuel and then I made it about half way to the Shell. FML!

O well, When are you tracking again, I am looking for an event.

Hey Matt,

Looks good! I've run the car pretty low on track before, so much so that it sputters in corners. Not a good feeling.

Monday went well, set a new personal best. The ProFunction group is awesome.

Not exactly sure when I'll be out on track again. The car needs a little work after this weekend so I'll probably take it out of service for a month or so, should be ready to go by early Oct to run at Road America with NASA. Probably go to Gingerman for a few test & tunes before the end of the season too.

I'm going to try and make it to Grattan for another event this season too.

Let me know if you find any events you're doing.
