Been off board for awhile. Anyone interested in a Great Lake trip in early August. Leave from mid michigan and up Lake Michigan, over the bridge, around Lake Superior to Duluth, across UP, and back down Lake Huron. 5 day trip, great scenery and roads.

Did this trip last summer on my Goldwing. Had a group of 6. Thought it would be a nice trip in the S, with the top down.
Don't have a firm date yet. Maybe first week of August.
I am moving to Michigan in Apr/May timeframe, from Texas, so thought it would be nice to do this year again.

A group of S2000s (people from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Minnesota) did the "Circle Tour" of Lake Superior last year. We went clockwise around the lake starting around Duluth and ending just east of Duluth in N. Wisconsin.

We had a great time. I highly recommend the trip to anyone who has 4-6 days to spend in July or August to enjoy it.

You would be welcome to join up with us in Lansing area and do it again. Will go counter clockwise and you could drop off in Duluth if you are short on time.

 

I'm here today. Thanks for the response. I'll go with the first week in August and see if we can get this all set up. The sooner we can set the dates the better.

That avoids the weekend crowds. Did this last summer and had most of the roads to ourselves. Can start on Sunday if that works better for most.
