BTW, definitely not a mod for the faint of heart.

Not only is just opening the headlight akin to stepping out of a pool full of cold water, but knowing that you have one shot to getting the halo's properly installed before expoxying them permanently into place and hoping that you didn't end up making your car's headlights look like a read-headed stepchild with an uncontrollable lazy eye is much like putting your schlong in a guilotine hoping the wife doesn't pull the chord just for sh!ts and giggles.
It looks great, Amul! I wonder how it would look "Audi style" with just the lower portion of the headlights LED'ed?

And that has to be the best description ever.

Many thanks to w1ngman for supplying a quality design.

Please feel free to PM him directly with questions or comments you may have.
Thank you very much . The linked pics stepping you through your project were nicely done as well (except maybe for your laying the bumper on the pavement on its 'nose' ). Great job guys!

Looks good. Did you remove the diffusers completely, leaving the corner light and signal exposed?

'Ribbon LEDs' (about the best solution available for your request) project 'UP' from the ribbon...rather than 'forward'. They wouldn't look bad, but basically they just can't offer direct-on accent lighting IMO.

But my Angel Eye Halos do (again, IMO )

Note that I have installed 'ribbon LEDs' around the inner chrome ring of my HIDs in the above pic. They *barely* give off any appreciable light (especially if viewed straight on). Not to mention that once the HIDs are turned on, they overpower the ribbon LEDs (and IMO would do so similarly if the ribbon LEDs were installed along the bottom of the headlamp assembly). Although their flexibility lends themselves to installation along the contours of our headlamp inserts, they simply don't offer a bright enough accent solution IMO.

Likewise, there is a 'flexible GEL-based' LED offering available...but from my trial-n-errors in a dash project over the past year, I found the gel-based LEDs 'flake out' over time. Although LEDs emit less heat than traditional incandescent bulbs, I think the LED circuitry simply gets too hot...trapped up inside the gel (???). Regardless...I can promise you that you wouldn't want to see your headlamp accents start winkin'-and-blinkin' and generally failing altogether after ~ 6 mo Again though, my comments here are specifically related to my own experience with having tried such gel-based flexible LEDs. But I purchased 2...from 2 different vendors...and got the same results in a short period of time. That's not something I'd want
