Better be careful though many people have had bad experiences with CL Honda, I am one.

Do you or did you drive the Yellow 03 S2000?

Sorry if anyone had a bad experiences here at our store. I am a new gm been here for alittle over a year. I have been with the corp. for about 7 years. I was in sale at this store for 3 years and then ran the Subaru store for around 3years (had big rally meets with the wrx/sti) now I am back here running the honda dealer. Well, I have never been up to CL Honda so I have no experience one way or another.

That said, I like that there are dealers here to help learn about the community around this car.

An S2000 rally meet with some tech sessions would be great. Set it up! I am sure we will get some people out there.

I came in with my girflfreind nearly a year ago shopping for S2000s and we were inquiring and wanted a test drive but were not sure that it was the right car.

We were shopping and the sales guy we dealt with said that unless we had a deposit for the car we would not be able to take it out.

When we asked about price we were told 35-37 was market value for a new one, and after a little research Schaumburg Honda and Motorwerks were more than willing to give us a test drive with and without a salesman and offered competetive pricing much like you see on this forum for 04s in ohio for 30,995.

I guess we were treated like we were a joke.

On top of that, we bought a used Civic from you guys before that, so we thought coming back would have been a good experience.

But as it turns out it was not.

And whoever did the financing on the Civic messed things up. We just got a letter from Bank of America two weeks ago, almost a year later saying they have the title for our car and they were not even who we financed it through, and on top of it we got a letter from the state saying that the title info was messed up that I was on the title and did not fill out the paper work to be on it, when it was just a loan for my girlfreind. We brought that in after we got the letter and we were told after a month we had to straighten it out.

So still the title is in limbo.

There are several other things, however I did enough ragging. I know I am not the only one.

I just wanted to explain, so you know, I did not just speak up to be a jerk.

Watch out for Jason Voorhees if you are a camp counselor in the area!

I am one as well...I have no love for Crystal Lake Honda. I also got "dirty" financing. I contemplated consulting a lawyer at one point.

I've seen the copy of paperwork that was in the folder and saw way too many cross-outs that haven't been initialized by either my wife or me, seen state tax numbers that didn't match on the paperwork that we got vs. the paperwork that was in the file, and even saw things like the original cost of extended warranty agreed upon crossed out with a higher handwritten number directly above it (again with no initialization from us....and the copy of paperwork that we brought home from the day of the sale, magically does NOT have any of those type of cross-outs).

If you care to see what I'm talking about, I'd love to sit down with you...but from some of the other stuff I've seen at the dealership, I won't expect anything.
