anyone here a local honda tech? i misshifted tonight at redline and i am paranoid i messed something up. can anyone help?

is it making noises? did you lose power? rev it up again. you cant eff anything up at this point without misshifting again.

many claim that a mechanical over rev can lead to cracked retainers which could then fail at a later date by dropping a valve. I'd say if it was a significant over rev, its worth getting it checked.

Edit: btw, I think that was mostly an AP1 issue, you might be alright with an 08

The F20C was MORE likely to have the problem. but the design of the F22C is not radicially different. I would at least get the retainers checked, if not replaced.

ive been trying to listen for noise. i dont hear anything out of the ordinary. my diff does whine more than i heard it before when i engine brake. i dont feel any lose in power or anything. does anyone know the cost of it getting it checked? ive been told get the retainers and valves checked and then a compression test/leakdown test. do i go to an independent shop or my dealer?

who's good around to check the retainers. no way am i gonna pay the stealership to do it.

gt motoring told me they could do it. between 1 and 2 hrs of labor.
