If I knew of a way to get a Turbo and 300RWHP for $5000 I'd have it.

Inlinepro's basic kit is $4k. I think it would be a good start. But you'll have to be prepared to get some kind of engine management and someone who knows how to tune it. I'll be really surprised if you can do it for $5k and have a reliable and powerful car.

Like the old saying "Speed costs money; how fast you wanna go?"

Don't be a pissy troll.

When shopping for FI, was comparing SC vs Turbo.

I have 300whp. Wound up going SC. Cost more than $5k.

If a Turbo application cost $5k to get the same results safely, I would have done it.

Have fun with your quest.

$5000 is an unreasonable budget.

Does saying it that way make you feel better?

Do you really think I have no experience in researching this?

Perhaps your own attidute needs to be adjusted before you start pointing fingers at anyone else.

I had looked into SC and I had been advice to stay away from it from someone who had done it. looking at all these vendors that advertise "bolt on" Turbo applications inline included which list for 3995/ plus labor does that equate to 5k or there abouts. If there are poeple who have doen it and done it right< i like ot know who did it and what it was involved and how much does it truely cost. I have been researching this and I am asking for some people who have done it let me know what the real truth is behind the"bolt on" application truley is. Because I have some serious doubts around the false avertising from these guys, based on what I have read. By the way I used 5k. as a guage to see what the real cost is. S2k is a nice car but too much above 5k to get more HP makes no sense. I keep my money trade it in for a new corvette ZR6.

Actually, it says $3995 without any fuel management. Figure at least $500 for install.

At a minimum you would need an eManage blue which would run you about $500. Figure at least another $500 for tuning.

Realistically, you will need a new clutch. Figure $500 for that, and another $500 for install.

If you REALLY want to do it "right" you should get a head gasket and install that too, figure about $1500 installed for that. Oil filter relocation, and a few other things would likely add to at least another $500.

To have an inline pro kit installed "right" and tuned you can reasonable expect to spend about $10,000.

BTW -- An S2000 runs about $33,000 add in $10,000 for an Inline Kit and you are at about $43,000.

A base corvette could be had with 400HP (about 350rwhp) for $40,000 (and no options on the car.)

A Corevette Z06 (not ZR6) runs about $67,000 base, good luck finding anything that isn't optioned out to mid-$70's Of course that's gonna be about 505 HP (or more than 450 RWHP.)

I've researched those too.
