Default Hydro Dipping

I found out something called hydro dipping today. It can put custom graphic on any non-porous part - metal, plastic, etc. See some pictures here http://www.cpcpowdercoating.com/hydro2.html

I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this process. Is it durable and will it fade?

yes, it's durable. It's been used on OEM part manufacturing for a while. I think ITR 'cf' inteior parts are done with this process.

I've had a valve cover done with this a while back, but had to send it out to CA to get it done. There are places that do this in the midwest now.

Back when I first found out about plasidip I was looking at this hydro stuff. There are a couple vids on YouTube of people doing it on bikes. Pretty cool actually.

Its pretty easy to mess up when doing this. But it looks cool. I've seen some dipped glocks that come out nice
