Default I need your opinion...Tire problems :(

Yesterday I caught a nail in my right front tire. The problem is that the nail went into the sidewall so it's a non-repairable flat. Now I need to buy a new front right tire.

I was just at the local tire shop and was quoted $200 for the new tire and installation. The tire being the stock S-02.

Is this a good price or can I do better????

Please let me know what you think! (good price or bad price?)

p.s. This really sucks since the tire still has about 85% tred left

try tirerack.com, if you can wait for shipping. I think when I ordered 4, and had them sent to a tire barn for installation, the whole thing came in around 700 bucks. So you can save yourself a little. Actually, it would be even cheaper for you, since you're out of state and there would be no tax.

Yeah tirerack.com is $167 shipped for 1 front oem tire. It will cost probably $25 bucks though for mounting and balancing anyways, so you aren't saving much.

Try looking up Bridgestone/Firestone retailers in the yellow pages. I did, then did some calling around, and found a shop that could get it cheaper.

Better hurry before the dragon though!

Well at least it is the front tire.
You are going to have to call around. Try discount tire if you have one local.

If the other tire still has 90% tread I would only replace 1.

I can get the tire for $139 plus shipping from tire rack but I see you already ordered it. Next time call me.
