Default June 4th - 6th

Anybody going? I just signed up for the saturday-sunday hpde. How does the track compare to Gingerman for anyone who has been to both.

I'll probably be there. Damn! Why does this have to fall on the same weekend as FWT! Anyway, I hear that track was designed by the same guy who designed Gingerman, so whatever that tells ya...

It would be nice to do both, but being able to speed without fear of tickets just makes me sleep easier.

Pat, if you want to drive down together let me know. I think my lady friend and I are leaving Friday night.

There are plenty of reasons to come to FWT other than speeding....

If that is anyone's *sole* intention then maybe we are better off without those kind of people registering as they are simply a danger to others around then.

Dont get me wrong - we will have some interesting drives, but we wont be actively advocating breaking the law in any way.

Im not ragging on you, just thought that it needed to be said at some point, and you post just made me think about saying it now - again - nothing personal.

Normally I would be up for a caravn, but this track is pretty close...well, okay, relatively close. About an hour from me. Doesn't seem worth the hotel stay. I'm probably just going to head down Saturday morning.

And Lee - It's not so much that we would go on FWT to speed, but track days are the few times we can (legally) and are even encouraged to speed But I see what you're saying. FWT is more than just driving around 'sconsin.

Mike,

I think you will really enjoy the track. I have never run Gingerman so I can not give you a comparison unfortunately. The track North track that you will be running reminds me of Blackhawk, if you have run there. I am not certain yet if I am working that weekend. If I am not working, I will try to come out there and give you some tips on running the track. I'm certainly no expert, but I have run that North track 5-6 times. I can try to pass on some of that experience to you so the S makes a good showing! If you do go, P.M. me a few days before and I will know my schedual by then.

I'll be there Fri and Sat for the HDPE (group 3 I believe). I've never been to the Joliet track, so I can't give you any insight. 3 blue s2ks at one track? Don't think I've ever seen 2 let alone 3.
