Default Just got my first S2000

I just wanted to introduce myself. I live in Naperville. Picked up my '04 NFR/black Saturday. 12,500 miles cerified preowned. I love it. Currently waiting for title. I bought from a guy in Wisconsin and we had to do a payoff first to get title. So as soon as I get title transfer and plates I'll be anxious to do an autocross or maybe a track day. Any of you guys do these? I am 54 years old. I'm guessing most of you guys are much younger, hope that is not a problem. I got this car because I am too messed up to continue riding/racing dirtbikes and needed something to satisfy my need for speed. I'd also like to do a long weekend at Deal's gap. Well that's about it. Hopefully I'll meet some of you all. I've been lurking here for about a year

Tom

congrats! i went to my first autocross this year, and from what i can tell the S2000 is a great car for it. lot of fun, i just need to get better at it. the dragon was quite an experience as well...definitely recommended. i grew up in naperville, right by the fire station on chicago ave.

Congrats and welcome!

We just got back from the 2006 Wake the Dragon event. It was a BLAST!

In the fall there will be the "Dragonball run 2006."

I don't track my S2000, but I do particiapte in track events. Harry will definatly steer you in the right direction on track events, but anything I can do to help, just let me know.

Come over to vintage. I am sure you will fit right in.

41 y.o. here

Your car sounds just like mine but the color....2004....12,500 miles....Wisconsin. So how much have I lost since I bought it?

I paid $24K from a private party. It is Honda Certified. Two more years bumper to bumper warranty, five more on the powertrain. I feel like I got a good deal. It came with a generic car cover, wheel locks, light tint on side windows, and an aftermarket rear view mirror that has digital outside temperature and direction display. What do you think?
