Default LED turn signals

I don't know about you but I hate the orange in the taillights... so I figured I'd buy some LEDs and replace them and while I was at it the side makers and fronts too. I bought all the LEDs and flasher relay from SuperBrightLEDs.com

Note: I have CR clear side markers installed and rick's clear diffusers in front.

1156 (RED) - 7443 (ORANGE)
Flasher Relay - 168 (ORANGE)

sidemarker bulb and LED (its a little longer but still fits in sidemarker)

regular bulb off

LED off

regular bulb on

LED on

Front turn signal bulb and LED

you can get to these from inside the wheel well by taking out two plastic clips and pulling the fender lining back

regular bulb off

LED off

regular bulb on

LED on

Rear turn signal bulb and LED

Notice that the bulb's ears are not directly across fom eachother like the LEDs. This is because its a 7507 bulb not an 1156 like all the bulb charts say.

so because they don't sell a 7507 LED I cut one ear off

the aftermath

as you can see from the socket an (unmodded) 1156 won't fit

regular bulb off

LED off

regular bulb on

LED on (the light is just as bright but more directional)

New flasher relay and OEM (If you don't change your flasher relay you'll get the hyper blink thats soooo annoying)

of course its too big to fit!

so I modded it too

and after some tape its not so bad

Click here to see video of one side OEM and the other side LED

Thanks for lookin and lemme know what you guys think

Looks great on silver! Good job and write-up Phil.

I'm just glad I've got black, I likes my orangey-ness.

That's a great video because at the end when you can see both sides of the rear of the car at the same time, you can really tell how much faster LEDs illuminate compared to regular bulbs. A real safety plus on top of the asthetic benefit!!
