OK.. There's been a lot of discussion on this trip, but it's coming close to the 19th, so I'd like to try to organize a S.E. Michigan contingent to drive down together to this event.

Basically a Dealer in Lancaster OH is having a Honda Show as part of Honda Child Safety Day or something like that.. He's planning a grill/bbq lunch around 11:00 or so and then a drive.

Mapquest says it's about a 215 mile drive, I'd say it will end up being a tad over 3 hours, as much of it is through Ohio non-interstate highway (strict law enforcement).

My proposal would be to meet somewhere in Ann Arbor and leave at 8:00 AM. Seems like the Starbucks @ Arborland mall is a common hangout (At US23 and Washtenaw), and easy to find for non-Ann-Arbor people.

I'll start a list here, let me know if you're interested in coming or not, or have any suggestions to improve...

Here is what I have in mind.

Arrive here about 11:00.
Get everyone lined up.
Eat some Food.
Tell some stories. (true or made up whatever you prefer)
Make some new friends, see some old ones.
Take some pictures.
Go for a drive. -- We have some great roads in the area. Nothing like the Dragon but some nice roads none the less.

So far that's what I was thinking. Since this is the first gathering I have ever hosted I thought it be best to keep it simple. I am open to any suggestions.

oops, sorry. I thought the Ohio get together is on May 17th. That is why I want to start another meet after it. Sorry about that. I would love to go, but 200+ miles drive down south is just too far for me.

Unfortunately a change in plans is preventing me from making it to the Ohio drive on Saturday. However I will be able to make it to the autoX on Sunday (See Stealthy_S2k's thread)

Bummer!

If I am the only one, I am probably going to chicken-out on, as it really is no fun going it alone... (such a relatively long trip anyway...)

I hope I don't offend anyone with this and am really hoping that we can have a gathering with *lots* of Stooks!!
