.....summer of S2KCA events!

There are many events and gatherings that need to be put together for this summer. I cannot do this myself and will need help.

What there are needs for, are for Midwesterners to fulfill some immediate roles and responsibilities.

I can promise that this isn't as time consuming as one may think, but is very rewarding in the end.

What I'm looking for is:

One person (1) that's good with keeping financial records, maintaining cash flow statements, and can project future financial needs....basically a treasurer.

One person (1) that can be a vice-chair to the Regional Director. This person would be responsible for maintaining communication to members, future members, and be a substitute for activities, meets, etc. that I may not attend.

One person (1) that can act as a local marketing and pr director. This person would be responsible for finding the resources to designing/creating local marketing collateral (including flyers, business cards, registration forms, websites, etc.), create and maintain relationships with local businesses and corp. for possible sponsoring and/or partnering for S2KCA events, and for recruiting members.

One person (1) that can perform a secretarial role. This will include maintainging an active list of paid S2KCA members, non-members, waiver forms for each meet, registration forms for meets, non-S2K owners participating in meets, etc.

Also needed are volunteers that are willing to co-ordinate track events, street meet events, gatherings, etc.

As volunteers step forward, I will make announcements. If multiple people step forward for a single role, I will reserve the right to treat each person as an "applicant". If I see the need, I will also reserve the right to make some of these roles as "co-chaired" roles.

With the exception of the "treasurer's" role, I hope that I get volunteers from various areas and not just Illinois/Chicago area. The treasurer's role would best be fit for someone in/near the Chicago area, but I will accept anyone that may be best fit from outside IL.

Please do not think that these roles are intimidating, if anything, this is going to be FUN.....just don't talk to the S2KCA National board . In the end, I hope that each person that can and will contribute, I hope to make it worth their while.
