Default MN Group Cruise

I'm organizing this cruise for another local board, MitsuStyle.com, but ALL cars are welcome! So far this has been posted on MitsuStyle, MNSC, MN-EVO, MN 3/S, and now S2ki.

We'll be meeting in the Minnetonka/Eden Prairie area and then take some nice scenic (aka twisty) roads down to New Ulm where we will enjoy their annual Oktoberfest celebration for lunch, and then after relaxing for a few hours we'll head out and continue on our journey to Redwood Falls where we will be staying the night. There look to be plenty of bars in this town for our resident alkys (me included), and also Jackpot Junction is only a few miles away (free shuttle from hotel) for anyone who wants to gamble. They do have jacuzzi suites!

If you're interested or have comments please post.

Redwood Valley Lodge
(507) 644-5700
$61/night for a regular room with 2 beds
Free breakfast
Jacuzzi Suites are available
www.redwoodvalleylodge.com

Due to the time frame I'm working with here we are unable to get a block of rooms set aside for us, but as of right now they do have about 10 non-smoking rooms, plus jacuzzi suites, an executive suite, and some smoking rooms still available. I already made my reservation, and I STRONGLY encourage everyone else to do the same ASAP to make sure you get a room for the event. This is the nicest hotel in the area and I think the price is definitely reasonable.

*UPDATE*

We will be meeting in Eden Prairie in the Rainbow Foods parking lot at the intersection of Hwy 5 and Prairie Center Drive at 9:30am and leaving at 10:00am on the dot. You NEED to be arrive by 9:30am at the latest because we will be going over routes, passing out maps/packets, and covering any other misc. info. You are required to show up with a full tank of gas, your tires at the correct pressure, and all fluids checked and ready to rock. Our next stop will in New Ulm for lunch where we have the party room reserved at a restaurant. Lunch will be a large buffet including pizza, chicken, potatoes, salad, etc. so everyone should be happy. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Glad you made it!

Did you enjoy the brewery tour? We all went as a group today and thought it was pretty neat, plus the amount of free beer we got was ridiculous

Thanks! We had a blast on the drive.
Tour didn't happen for me. They were sold out of all but the last tour on Sat. Tried to see if there was anythign cool happening at the Holiday Inn, but there wasn't. We ended up checking out the winery grape stomping event instead then headed home way slower than the pace we set to New Ulm...

We didn't get to the winery. By the time we left the brewery and had lunch in town it was nearly 3pm so we decided to just pack up and head home. We encountered a bit of rain north of Mankato on the drive home, but nothing too severe so the top was able to stay down for a lot of it and speeds were set high as usual I've never stayed in 6th gear VTEC for so long before!
