I had a great time on Saturday! It is nice to get out on a group drive and put the car through a little workout. I mentioned during our lunch break about forming a "local chapter". The base purpose of the local chapter would be to facilitate a more regular meeting of our group of S2K fanatics plus we would be eligible for national club funds to sponsor of subsidize some of our events.
Below is information from the national club about organizing local chapters. Anyone interested in this please PM me and I can get the ball rolling.

I was curious about the dues, so I poked around the S2KCA site and found some more info for anyone who's interested:
One Year Membership - $40.00
All new members receive a very nice welcome package in the mail. It includes the following items:

I am not an advocate of having to pick one S2K site over another. I believe that both sites serve a purpose and their respective communities.
However, the requirement for starting a local chapter would be membership in the S2KCA club. This would allow local chapter to receive some national club funds to host events in our region. It looks to be a good deal as long as we can generate enough support to get the chapter off the ground.
So far I have interest from the following people. I will edit the list as more express interest.

Is there any interest in possibly doing another group drive on either Saturday Oct 6th, 13th, or 20th? I suspect fall foilage color would be at its peak about that time. Depending on the weather that day, it may not be a good "top down" day. But the driving and the scenery would still be incredible either way. Anyone up for it?
