I justy wish the mugen gas cap was a complete piece and not just a cover.

I'd buy it then.

thats exactly what i was thinking also when i first saw this come out. I am a huge Mugen fan myself, but a couple of these new peices that just cam out this year I am not sure if i can justify the price or not.... Doesnt mean i wouldnt have the stuff in the future sometime though.

It sure seems like they are trying to cater to the public a little more with these parts, instead of making strict race oreinted parts.

I might have to take the 15 minute drive over to King and check out these new parts in person and see what they look like up close.

Its not my fault some of you are still ricers at heart, only now you have more expensive parts to show off.

Urmil come on you totally flew off the handle, you don't have to defend your 10k in mods for 10lbs of torque, we all feel for you

And GChambers there is rarely anything useful in the UMW forum, it's an OT forum.

Which is kinda untrue, we give good advice on Pizza, and Pinyo helped people out with fixing things.

But for the most part it's an whore forum.

Man I geuss if you want to personalize your S2000 your considered a "RICER" in you eye's Dezoris. For someone who own's a S2000 I would think you didn't like Imports, or for that matter HONDA. Maybe you shoud sell yours and give it to a good home. Someone who appreciates it. Bring on the MOD"S, I dare to be defferent.

Dezoris, I take some offense to your "ricer" comment. I was going to make light of your mugen bashing comment but "ricer" is inappropriate. I probably know alittle more about cars and aftermarket styling than you do and I know that the Mugen mods are not ricey. I show my car ALL the time (Import shows, truck shows, hot rod shows). Out of all the events I have been to nobody has ever said my car is ricey. Even the hot rod guys will tell me that the car is cool (and thats saying alot). Even they know the difference between "rice" and cars that are tastefully done. Ricey is something like this pic.

e

But what do I know....I only have 2 magazine features and possibly a third pending.

I am not saying anything about your car.
I know what you are getting at, but magazine features are the worst arguement. All the import mags are straight up rice boy magnets, with every other page advertising terminator wings 20" wheels shitty tires, body kits and intakes, JDM wanna be parts, JDM this JDM that.

I have never jumped ship from Honda, and even when most of the ricers jumped from Civics and tegs to WRXs. I stuck with what I had.

What I am saying is there is a divide, at least in this forum, on tuning ideas. It seems like a better part of this forum is more into SHOW than go. There seems to be a handful of people who autox or track.

There is more of an obsession with just bolting on shit, just to add mods.

Like the guys who HAVE to have Tein Coilovers who don't even know what Camber and Caster is.

Regardless it is nothing personal rather a discussion on why there are such extremes, on a car celebrating race, and designed around track performance

My life insurance policy will not pay out to my wife if for some reason I get killed on a track. This is one of the main reasons I no longer race my car. Showing the car for me is a GREAT alternative to racing. Dont get me wrong I loved racing the car but I also know race cars cost money...show cars make money. If you race the car and beat it something will eventually break or get scratched. This costs money to fix. I show my car and can get sponsors pretty easily now. That helps me make money!

I would have to say you are a minority for making money back off show, would you agree?

You're right....here in the UMW we are mostly all truely ricers at heart.

You're also right, I don't have to defend whatever I spend in whatever gains I got.....btw, don't think I was defending my choice of mods from your judgement in my choice. Also, don't for a minute think I flew off the handle. You'd know when I do.

I would argue that the UMW forum is not an OT forum. It's more of a community forum for all of us who have met others from our locale to stay connected, talk about what like-minded midwesterners care about, etc. It really is a more personable community forum than an OT forum.

Obviously you don't find much use for this community forum, nor do you care to accept our ricer ways. So, let me be the first to point you to a forum that may be more to your liking:

I'd buy mugen parts for the same reason I'd buy ralph lauren clothes as opposed to k-mart brand.

If you can't see the logistics of quality control, then well you should.
