Default Need help!

I forgot to latch the top and on the freeway it flung open. I stopped immediately and just put the top down to make sure there was no further damage. When I brought it to the parking lot, I tried closing it, everything worked but it would stop 2 inches short so that I cannot latch it. The dealer won't open until Monday morning, any suggestions?

Do I need a new top? Or do you think it is dislocated? Or just a bent bar? How much would it cost to fix or replace in terms of labor? Thanks!

no "soft top down without stopping" mod for you then!

sorry to hear Jeremy - unfortunately I do not know the answer - I will defer and hope a more intelligent person comes on line soon!

One of the joints probably went beyond it's normal position and might need to re-adjusted. I'm nowhere near an expert, it's just guess.

it makes sense

The convertible top motor should not be the problem

Thanks everyone, I'll try to get it checked on Monday at the dealer.

Without looking it is impossible to tell. You might have something bent, or you might get away with a readjustment.

you most likely bent the support brace for the soft top.. there is no adjustment for that!! either you try to bend it back or get it replaced.. the labor is big$$$.. goodluck..
