Default need powdercoating

I have 4 stock '00 wheels that i want powdercoated, i have been shopping around but havent found a good deal yet.
I have decided to find some local friendly S2k owner that might have his own shop that i can refer all of my friends to that want powdercoating as well.
I appreciate the help, Thanks

Steve,

PM S2000GT. He's got a shop that he works with that does GREAT work and is VERY reasonably priced.

He offered to put together a group buy earlier, but there was another one setup with someone else. I don't know what happened with that groupbuy.

I have a few pieces that I want powdercoated, so if S2000GT is willing to do some negotiating for us with his powdercoater, maybe we can get a group thing done.

Thoughts?

BTW, I would also get some '00 wheels powdercoated, along with some suspension pieces, and metal do-dads.

i would definitely go for some sort of group deal. I will pm him now and let you know what he thinks. Are you going to contact him too or do want me to pm you with his response?

I was thinking of going with a shiny metallic brilliant black. I would also like to match the centercaps the same color and have the "H" match the lugs. Should look pretty clean on red after i get my coilovers

just curious what color you going to be powdercoating them??
I was thinking of some sort of bronze with either a red hue, or a black hue to it.... or some sort of gold with either a light red hue or a high yellow hue.

I actually know of the pricing that S2000GT's guy gives, it's an excellent deal, so I'm going to use him regardless of a group pricing our not. Keep in mind, each different color needed/used adds a setup fee of about $25. Also, any "special" color may increase the cost due to the cost of the material.

From the way S2000GT tells it, we basically are paying only for labor and actual costs of materials. I'll suggest he set something up if he's willing.

Lee (S2000GT) is pretty active. He must be busy at work to have missed this thread for so long. Give him some time, he'll get back to you soon.

I am pretty sure the center caps are plastic and as such cannot be powder coated (Powder coat requires heating the part to 400 degrees F for 20-30mins.) You will have to have the center caps painted to match.

I have an extra set of 'stocks' that I want to have powdercoated (black) as well.
If the group deal doesn't materialize, does anyone know of a good Detroit area place to have them done (West side preferred )

sorry for not posting sooner.

I did see this thread and coincidentally, I need to speak to my powdercoater anyway. Ill be seeing him over the weekend so wont be able to get prices until then.

In the meantime if you guys can make a post and specify your requirements itll make it a little easier to go to him with.

thanks

Lee, when your ready, we should probably just restart the thread with each persons name, item/s they want done, and the color/s that they want. Just to help clean up a bit so that there are no misunderstandings,

Oh yeah, Urmil and I get firsties
