Official monthly UMW For Sale thread
1. All items for sale are to be posted in the monthly for sale thread.
Individual threads for items for sale are subject to moderation.
2. There will be no discussion in the For Sale thread.
If you have questions about something for sale that you're interested in, PM the seller. If the person gets the same question a lot of times, they can edit their post to include the information. If you disagree with the price someone has set, negotiate the price; the seller is under no obligaton to sell to anyone unless he/she has come to an agreement with a buyer.
All posts that do not list an item for sale will be deleted. Extraneous comments in a post listing an item for sale will be edited, with the entire post subject to deletion. This is to prevent someone from posting a comment and an item for sale in the same post.
3. Only post your item up once in a thread for each month.
Do not quote your own post so you can get your item to the next page. Do not "BUMP" your post. Etc. By disregarding this rule, your post(s) will be moderated.
4. Cars for Sale go into the for sale thread.
See rule #2.
5. Selling an item on S2ki is a privilege, not a right.
The site policy is that all items for sale go into the main For Sale forum, and are moderated by the moderators of that forum. The site rules also prohibit non-members from selling items. It also prevents people from acting as a proxy and selling an item for another person (particularly a non-member.)
These rules were enacted to help prevent fraud. It is not our intention to circumvent these rules. Abuse of the above policies will result in the revocation of selling privileges and any post created by someone with their rights revoked will be deleted.
These rules are also to help keep the forum easy to navigate.
Footnote: These policies are in direct response to issues, questions and concerns brought up by local members, out of area members, and the site moderators. If you do not wish to be subject to the above rules, you are more than welcome to post in main for sale forum and be subject to the site policy. Or you can use another online service like eBay or CraigsList to sell your items.
In the past, the CO's have been laxed on how things have been run for the community's sake. Unfortunately, policies will need to be adhered to. Any consistent over-stepping of these policies could lead to a stringent control back to what the main forum's rules are.
Posts that do not comply with the policy here will be deleted either entirely or replaced with a copy of these rules at the discretion of the COs without any additional warning. If you have questions, PM either ruexp67 or Luder94
