I had the same problem. It started off as just clicks in reverse. Overtime it got worse. I would get up to four clicks on start up. Well I finally took it in. The tech told me that this a usually problem and that the bolts on axles would get loose. It was a defect. Well they put in new bolts and retorqued them to spec and ALL GONE!! I was so relieved it wasnt my diff.

Can't you upgrade the driveshafts to something like spoon? Aren't they more durable?

Motorwerks in Barrington did it for free. It most likely is the same thing, he said it was very common. I would have it checked out ASAP because it can lead to a broken axle.

if you are hearing a click that is speed related (ie when you are coming to a stop the click gets slower), then it is defintely your diff. Trust me, I am speaking from experience. First diff went at 13K then again at 34K.

If its when turning or accelerating from a stop, then it could be your axle nuts, break pads, or cv joints, which are still a concern, but not as big a hassle as a diff.

Mine clicks when I press and release the gas and when I release the clutch faster and just click and then when I'm starting click and it's weird.

it's definitely not related to speed, It just clicks once when I take off, or transition from reverse to first. And I noticed for the first time today that it clicked once on a upshift. At first I thought I was just running over twigs or something, but now that it's been happening more it made me wonder.

shiftat9k, I'm kind of leary of taking my car to a dealer, I've had so much trouble in the past with them trying to squeeze every penny out of me. Did you purchase your car from motowerks. I'm curious to how they treat owners of cars they didn't sell. Then again, I may just order the parts get a few 12 packs and call up Urmil and Pinyo :]

I have a clicking noise that usually occurs right after starting from 1st gear around 2-3k rpm...just a loud click noise that sounds like metal was being dropped on metal.

One of the conclusions is that my stock exhaust is bouncing off something because it's missing one rubber hanger on the driver's side (which is on back-order)...On the contrary, it seems that the noise is coming from the passenger side.

Any recommendations on what to do if the clicking noise doesn't stop after receiving the rubber hanger?

Does anybody else feel like the shipping for fluids from the marketplace is a little overboard?(LE 607)
