OOPS, I also posted this as a new topic.

Ferarri 360 Modena Update
Still no baby yet but mother is doing well, probably better than the father at this point.

I talked to Greg who I work with and who was a passenger in the Ferrari on Sunday. I also showed him Hiro's very cool video and asked him about why the back-up lights come on just before the last left turn in the video. Greg told me that the transmission computer periodically recalibrates for 'driving style' and can be a bit twitchy when doing so. Apparently, that is what was going on just prior to the last left turn (at speed) in the video. He also indicated that this recalibration process can be a bit twitchy and in this case, just prior to that last left turn, the Ferrari was momentarily stuck in second gear. Apparently, you have to put the car in neutral to reset.

And, now you know the rest of the story.

Huh, very interesting...Thanks for the update Mitch! So how did that Ferrari get associated with our run anyway? I never caught that...was it through you Mitch? Whoever it was, THANK YOU so much for inviting him along! I'd love to see him at a future event as well and get him to stay with us longer...I'm still wiping drool from my face

All, my video editing is coming along well (just hard finding free time to edit it during the work week)...I should have another clip on the web site soon, kind of like a 'highlights of the run' clip...the DVD should be completed by the weekend...just an idea: anyone in town want to have an informal DVD viewing party this weekend? Otherwise, I'll let everyone who PM'd me know when its done and we can make arrangements for getting copies out...

That was a total blast even though I was in the lost group. I still managed to film just about everything possible. It was a lot of fun.

I'll gladly take the credit. One of the guys I work with owns a vintage Porsche, so I mentioned your event to him and he told me about his brother's Ferrari. The rest is history

Hiro,
A DVD viewing party is a great idea. We could also discuss a tech day and a drive to Oxford. I have email addresses of the Cinci people from that paper I had people sign. Just let me know and I will help you get some people together.

Sounds excellent! I guess we just need a time and a place...I'm wide open this weekend on Sat / Sun, so anytime is good for me! Anyone want to volunteer their home and their DVD player? I'd be more than happy to myself, but I live downtown so parking for my apartment building is not always convenient...but I'm more than happy to host if people are willing to come over.

Like I said, we can keep this informal and casual...so, maybe we can take a quick vote to see who's interested and what day/time will work...

If you can e-mail everyone to get a distribution and discussion going, that would be great!

Thanks!

This was a great event! Good people, cars and weather. Thanks to all who helped to organize it, nice to put faces with names. I'll be keeping an eye out here for other events
