Wow...

I must say, that to criticize the people standing looking at it... initial reaction is "what the hell is going on?" and by the time you realize you should help, the guy is already on the floor....

The pizza dude sure got up in the girlfriend's face. Then he stood there with his thumb up his butt when the 325 lb linebacker started wailing. Maybe if just one person had stepped up the others would have followed. Or maybe they were just enjoying the show.

Not to defend the lady in any way, but the lady walked in with an attitude and you could tell she was trouble. Even if someone like that cuts in front of you it's better just to stay quite cause you know they're going to start a big scene. The guy that got knocked out didn't seem so innocent either. He didn't quitely tell his GF on the phone that it was going to take longer. He said it out loud so everyone in the place can hear. It's easy to say, "I would have hit the guy" or "I would have stopped it", but when it happens it's not that easy and it happens so fast. I, myself, would have stayed quite and waited the extra few minutes and left with some grub. For opening his mouth, the guy left with no food and got a good a** kicking. You can't open your mouth and say what you want to everyone, there are some crazy people out there. Just my opinion.

The attacker (on probation) received Four Years in Prison and his wife (the instigator) may get Eight Years because she has been sentenced to 6 months for another crime.

What a Dumb , now who is going to take care of their Five children ?

Everyone looses, attacker, instigator, their kids and the by-standers (Guilt feeling for the rest of their lives).

The dude on the phone getting his Azz Kicked could have used a little common sense and avoided the whole problem. Also could have payed attention to what was about to happen and defended himself.

So if I walk in and cut in line you should let me if I look pissed off?

No way.

It's so easy to say "why didn't anyone else do something". The other option is to put yourself in mortal danger by trying to reason with the huge guy, or false crack him from behind and pray that you can win the fight. If you did that, you would probably be criminally prosecuted too. It's a no win situation unless that guy was your friend or something.

When I have a gut feeling that someone is trouble and can cause a big scene out of nothing, I would rather look away. That's just me, not you. That's why I said in that post "just my opinion." Trust me, I consider myself to be a strong guy, but I've witnessed things like this that make me think twice before I say anything. I witnessed something like this at a club where someone got hurt pretty bad and a gun was pulled out outside in the parking lot. A simple argument turned into something so big. Plus man, I'm not going to start an argument over a piece of pizza. If you feel the need to cut in front of me for some food, you're either fat or just plain stupid. Just my opinion.
