Default Open Track Day at Grattan May 11th

I should start with some sort of introduction. I am not an S2000 owner, but I thought the guys here would be interested in a good track day. Anyway, I currently have a couple of old musclecars (69 Camaro and 69 Corvette) that I am modifying so they will behave better on the track. I am also trying to get more track time, which brings us to the event.

Two of my buddies from work and I have rented Grattan on May 11th. We did this at Gingerman last year and had a great time. We are expecting the same this year. The event is open to all types of cars. Last year we had everything from fully stock Subura wagons to fully race prepped vehicles. We do not discriminate against any type of vehicle, we are simply looking to have a good time and get the spots filled up. We have setup a website with more details, and a link to Paypal for payment.

We have checked with the track, and convertibles will be allowed for this event.

Please let me know if you have any questions. It would be great to get some S2000's in the mix.

Thanks
Ken

EDIT: Updated the website address.

If this was a friday, sat or sunday I would do this. Thursdays is to hard.

Grattan is a great track and fun, fun, fun to drive.

If you have a weekend day either here or gingerman let me/us know.

I would love to get out there again.
The best is a sat and sunday one track day at each day.

pm me if you have other weekend days or know of some.

Thanks for the post

aquatic,
I sent you a PM.

We know weekdays are hard for people traveling, but the expense for a weekend was too much for us. For anyone driving a long way, you will be getting plenty of track time. If you have to leave early, you will still get well over an hour of track time. Also, some of us are camping out at the track the night before so we don't have to get up so early. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Sorry, it may have something to do with our web skills. Try this link:

I will also fix it in the original post.

I agree with Harry with the comparison.
Gingerman is a great safe (as far as safe goes drive like a mad man) fun track.
Grattan is even more fun and more technical. Its even fun watching others drive it cause there are so many mistakes (routes) made in the beginning.

I can't make the weekday time, and the weekend after WTD I am going to finish packing up my sold house in the UP. So I can't make that either.

If anyone is thinking about it, try and get to these two tracks. If you are new to the track start with Gingerman with speedtrial or CGI and get some drivers training. I don't know if Harry instructs for CGI anymore, but if so, he knows the track and the car best. So sign up, I plan on getting out when the schedule fits.

Autobahn may be my first time out this year, but I'll keep triing for something in May.

We may have to update the description on the site. We were taking our comments from other people that have been there, and the videos and pics we have seen of the track.

The price is low because we are just looking to cover out costs. This event is really for people that just want to get out and have some fun with their car. The benefit is getting to meet people from all different areas of the car world. For instance, last year we had a few guys with Honda Civics show up. A lot of people didn't think much of them.....until they started turning the fastest laps. During the down times, lots of people were over talking to these guys.

Hope to see some more of you out.
