Default Please be patient...

Unfortunately, I have had several "BIG" personal changes take place over the last 9 weeks....some planned....some not planned....some good.....some not so good. This includes the birth of my first child, the death of my father-in-law, the annoucement of a job change, and the beginning of a major move back to Milwaukee. These changes have delayed the planning for 2-3 weeks. My life is JAM PACKED with things going on right now!!!

With that being said we have had 5 "official" meetings regarding an S2000 event in Indianapolis. We have had many other side discussions about events ideas and plans.

Fortunately the Indiana S2000 group is very active and enthusiastic about this event. We have 8 volunteers that have participated in the planning meetings and everyone is tackling their part of the event. We have established a tentative agenda, schedule, and dates. We are waiting for confirmation from a host sponsor before we make any announcements to the S2000 community. The last thing I want to do I make promises that cant be kept (like has happened in the past events in the MW ).

So....please be patient...the event information is coming. We are hoping to have confirmation from the event host this week with an annoucement and open registration starting March 1.

Thank you to everyone who has been patient. Thank you to Urmil for posting event information since I have not had as much time to post on the forums. Hopefully you will feel that the wait was well worth it.

Best Regards,
Charlie

Where's the popcorn smilie?

Just to clear things up....that comment was in NO WAY directed towards Saab9-3 (Brian). I really think Brian is a great guy and did a great job. I do not have one bad thing to say about him.

Joe, As for your constant negative posts I read in Urmil's threads, trying to undermine the events, be careful how much crap you try to stir up...you will look pretty stupid later on when the event is a success. And in case you forgot about looking stupid Joe or your memory was a little hazy ...SPEED CHANNEL....ESPN....blah....blah.....blah....bring back memories or did I just miss them at the last event?

I'm the one with the Fox contacts (they own speed in case you weren't aware), and I'm the one who was working with a host from Speed. And they WERE (maybe still are) interested in putting something together from FWT and FCT. But, quite honestly after all the in here lately, I don't care to deal with it anymore...what's the point?

Sorry to get off topic, but I really think that some of you guys have let egos get in the way of what is really important around here...friendships, community, and just having a good time!

OK guys. Enough is enough.

Two years ago I was sick of hearing about the differences between the "other" board and this board.

Now, I'm sick of reading about Joe vs. Everyone else, and the success or failure of FWT.

There is plenty of blame on both sides of the argument for bringing it back up again and again. It's now time for both sides to step up, be adults and LET IT GO. It's over, and what's done is done. There are a lot of new people in here that must be wondering what the is going on. If they do know what's going on I am pretty sure they are sick of hearing about it too.

Anyway....

I think that everyone will be pleased with this summers events. Again, to reiterate what Charlie said in his first post, our main goal for this event is to give the participants a bit more than they were expecting. I firmly believe that with the great ideas that we have and the plans that we have already made, that everyone will really enjoy this event.

Stay tuned.
