Rear ended tonight
My girlfriend and I were stopped at Milwaukee and Dundee at a red light. All the sudden we got rear ended. There was no tire screeching, just bam. I got out of the car instantly wanting to scream at the guy. I ended up calling 911 instead
. First thing the guy says is oh well theres no damage on my car. He was driving a 07 Land Rover LR3. I was in my 09 Grand Cherokee. My Driver side rear bumper is smashed pretty good. The officer cam and the ahole who hit me says well there's no damage on my car so I want to protest this. The officer just laughed at him. He did get a citation. My girlfriend and I both felt fine, but now my whole neck and back are really sore and stiff. Does anyone if there is a time limit to go to the Dr? I took some pictures, I'll load them up tomorrow.

Insurance companies can raise your rates even if your not at fault. My brother was rear ended and my moms insurance went up $600. My girlfriend was rear ended once and her insurance went up $10 a month. If I'm still sore in the morning I will go to the doctor. I didn't notice any discomfort until a few hours after the accident. Hopefully his insurance company will not give me any trouble if I end up needing to go tomorrow.
I was in a car accident a few years ago and although I felt okay at the time, I started feeling progressively worse over the next few days. Everyone told me I wouldn't feel the pain immediately and they were right. I didn't have any issues with getting chiro, massage, etc. covered even though I didn't report my injuries at the time of the claim. My guess is insurance companies are used to that kind of thing. Hope you're okay and you don't have any hassles!
I thought this was in your S at first.
Go to the chiro. The jolt can misalign your neck or back and cause much bigger problems as you get older. If you take care if it now, it's MUCH better.
It's very odd that insurance rates would go up for having been hit in what is OBVIOUSLY not your fault. Even when I was 20yrs old I was hit twice in the same year and it didn't affect my rate.

I sat here and watched the animated GIF in your signature three times. What all happened?
ruexp67, I guess it's passed on insurance companies... I have no idea.
I'm glad you're okay enough to be here posting about it. I don't want to think what could've happened in the S.
My $0.02, go to the ER within 24 hours and get checked out. If you don't, you won't have any leg to stand on if you need to go after that guy for hitting you.
