Default Repainting the S over winter

Hey errybody. So Im starting the process of repainting my Spa AP1. The color scheme I'm probably gonna go with and have been wanting forever is a dark gunmetal/onyx, with bright Key Lime wheel color.

Now, I have seen other schemes Im interested in too such as a pearl white with a black hood and black fenders...

Honest feedback please, no nonsense.

My honest feedback would be that a car with that kind of color is normally better suited for a more tasteful approach, so key lime wheels would, IMO, look tacky. If you're wanting uniquely colored wheels, perhaps something like mag blue would look better.

This is totally my opinion, though. At the end of the day, you've gotta do what you want.

I love the idea of the gun metal/onyx color, but I agree with Garrison about that the lime green wheel color may be a bit much. I would suggest that you maybe just paint the calipers lime green and do the wheels in a more neutral.

Can't wait to see the final outcome

pearl white with black hood and black fenders? um, when i think of that color scheme i think of an S that was white, involved in a front end accident, and has junkyard parts from a Berlina tossed on it.

Yea the engine bay is gonna get done after a while, but ima just do the bay flat black and do subtle Joker colors, purple and lime green, on the engine and components.
I can see how some people could think its tacky, but I still love it. Were building a time attack wrx right now thats gonna have basically the same color scheme.

I'm not sure if this is clsoe to the color you're going for....it's pretty similar to Moonrock. But if it helps, photoshop different color wheels to it to see if YOU'LL like the color combo:

Here's what that color looks like with Mag Blue wheels (not good, in my opinion):
