road trip!
Brian....does your "picking up rims" mean to say that you'll be putting them on right away, and possibly trading the set that you rolled up there with to the seller of the rims you're buying?
If not, then don't mind the rest of this post. If so, then just becareful and mindful. Be sure that the wheels you are buying are true (aren't bent), and are balanced properly so that your trip back is safe. Also, make sure of the viable tread on the tires. Also, be sure to take the right lug nuts with you if the OEM ones aren't the proper ones to use with the new wheels. Make sure you have the proper conical, or acorn seat. One last thing, take a torque wrench with you, and torque the lugs on evenly and to proper torque rate.
Otherwise, congrats on the new wheels.

shipping costs about the same or more than I would pay for gas...plus my buddie is heading out that way next week anyway.
I'm keeping my stock wheels. I'm buying an additional set of wheels
I'm picking up Gram Lights 57C (gold) 16X7 with winter tires mounted on them. I would actually prefer to transfer the winter tires onto my stockers and put summer tread on the Gram Lights.
I can mount 225 55 tires all around on the stock wheels right?

Donnie b would know about what size tires you can mount.
I wouldn't expect it to cost more than $70 to ship a set of wheels. Of course if you are going to be there anyway, then it's free to pick them up.
