S2000 Autocross Meet
I'm gauging interest in an S2000 autox event. This would not be S2000 exclusive or S2ki organized - just a chance for a bunch of S2000 owners to get together and go to an autox. Think of it as a meet with an intense and legal group drive . It would also be a great time for any autox newbies to check out the sport and get help from more experienced drivers.
On May 23rd and May24th (memorial day weekend), the Indiana Northwest Region SCCA (inr-scca.org) will be holding an autocross at the Majestic Star Casino parking lot in Gary, IN. The lot is HUGE.
It really isn't that far for a lot of you and it promises to be a good time. You could theoretically get a hotel as well and spend the evening at the casino
INR-SCCA is a great group to run with. Very laid back, but still competitive. They usually have a lower turnout, which translates to more runs. However, their attendance is expected to go up due to their great new site (Majestic Star).
For what it's worth, I plan on attending as does Rev9k27. We've both been autocrossing for a few years and are willing to help any newbies get started.
Registration is $20 (each day) for SCCA members or $35 (each day) for non-SCCA members. You can do just 1 day. You should preregister on their website. Loaner helmets will be available, but please bring your own if you have one.
Please post up if you're interested or if you have any questions.

In general, it opens at 8am and you'll be done around 5pm. You can show up as late as 10:00 (driver's meeting) but I would recommend showing up earlier - 8:30am or 9am and preregister.

Price isn't so bad with a few roommates. Should check for availability though. If there's enough of us interested, we could see about getting a suite (if they have them...never gambled in Gary before).

I have some crappy street tires...but hmm. Wouldn't be the first time I've ran with INR and bald tires.
What are the INR regional dues? Just the (price gouging) difference of $30 is the cost of the national membership for me. I didn't really want to run this season, but this is so close to home I don't think I can turn it down.
