Why not try to get your company to store it for you? You might not be able to get another when you come back.

DUDE!!!!!!! S2000 on the Autobahn...... Sell it, Are you nuts..... Take it with you, you can prob sell it for a profit there that will pay for the cost of shipping it there, plus some......

Then you can buy a REAL M5 and bring THAT back with you......

Thanks for the tips but I've looked into a lot of options.

(used) S2000's sell for much cheaper in Germany, as they depreciate more because the Honda brand isnt as strong there as it is here. http://www.mobile.de/ is a fun place to do some "suchen"... its in german but easy enough to figure out to see what kind of prices used cars go for over there.s

To get it over there, I'd not only have to ship it, but also replace the headlight assemblies at a minimum, and possibly the tail lights as well to conform to German regulations in order to get a German license plate. The longest you can run in Germany on your US plate is 6 months, and then you have to go through TUV.

If I want a S2000 over there, it will be much cheaper to just buy one there! If there is any money to be made, I'd buy one there and bring it here and sell it LOL.

Plus, there's the whole issue of "when in Rome,...." I love my S2000, but I'd love to go over there and experience driving a car that's not available over here! I'm looking at Audi RS2's, E36 M3's (w/ euro engine), and Porsche 968 Club Sport's...

As far as storing it, If I did that, I wouldnt have any cash to buy anything over there! I'm already storing the Audi and Datsun as it is, but they're already paid for. I dont want to make payments on a car sitting in a garage halfway across the world!!!

I'd lose a lot more money selling the Audi and Datsun, than selling the Honda.... I can always pick up another S2000, but the Audi and Datsun are a lot more rare and not easily replacable! Plus the Datsun has a lot of sentimental value
