Yeah, I like the backroad more too, but they take longer, and when you blow two hours or so of your day commuting, you tend to want to get it over with as soon as possible. That's mostly when the weather is lousy. I actually have a backroad route that I've used earlier on really nice days that I actually have time to blow.
