Default Spring Detail?

For those of you who don't detail yourself, where do you get your car detailed? With spring hopefully coming around soon, I'm looking to get my car done. I'd be looking for someone who puts in the work, and I'd be willing to pay for that kind of effort. Thanks y'all!

I used to detail a bit, haven't dont clay bar or paint correction in quite some time, but a lot of my friends do detail work as well so we usually do it together around my area.

I used Jason's Auto Spa once some years ago with stellar results. Jasonhas since closed up shop for some reason... His Stage IV cost me $350 and it took him around 4-5 hours to do the whole car. If I'm not mistaken, the Stage V went from that to more than 1 day's work.

Since I'm either too busy or too lazy to do it myself, now I go to Simon's Shine Shop in the city. It's pricier, and I'm sure it's not half as good as Jason's, but it's close to my house for routine washes, and they do a job that's good enough for me. But like I said, I think they're a little pricey.

i took my girlfriends car to TLC in dundee for an interior detail.... it cost me about $80 and it was the best $80 I've ever spent on her... she was very happy with the results.

the guys name is mike, and while he was pretty abrasive at first, the subsequent conversations with him were great.

i cant comment on their exterior work

Mike gets my vote should be some pics of my S and a few other S's he has done. He also drove to my place and detailed a few cars. Here is his facebook page and info link.

Does he do clay/paint correction by chance, Mike?

^ yes he does both. I don't think my S required any paint correction but I did have him clay the entire car shortly after it arrived. He did this in my home garage while I was upstairs working. Might not be a bad idea to invite him to the Dent Day meet, if that is ok with Harry, to offer some detail work to those that may be interested. My beater could use some major paint correction after the dents are pulled.

That's a great idea Pat to have Michael at the Dent Day. Do you know approx how much he charge for a full detail with claybar and paint correction?

The facebook page you posted shows that he's from southern IL, is that the right Mike?

^ yes that is correct on his location, but he will make the drive up. I believe he has helped a few other members if I recall correctly. I also want to say he is on JDM Chicago?

As for cost that would be up to him and of course, if it was multiple cars, then I'm sure he would work with everyone. I paid him to come up for the day and do more then one car for me with the main focus on the S that day. I know I would/could participate on this myself with my daily beater even if we picked another day to set this up. I don't want to commit to Harry's event and/or Dan's place with out them saying its ok. Keep me posted if everyone decides on a different day and contacts him so I can arrange to be there. I could allow him to set up at my place again and use the garage if that helps out. Just need to wait for weather to break so I can clear out the garage and finish my sons car so we have room.
