Spring Detailing Day
As some might have known, there was a discussion about bringing Mike from Michael Automotive Perfection for a day or two to help detailing our babies.
I'm trying to gauge if we can get enough interest among members here. Please sign up if you want to turn your car into tip-top condition for the summer. Among services provided are full interior/exterior detail, claybar, paint correction, etc.
Date: May 4th-5th seems to be the earliest available weekend, subject to change.
Venue: Plainfield, IL

This is what I received from Michael regarding the services he provided and the cost:
I offer paint sealant and wax, scratch and swirl removal, glazing, claying, interior stain removal, stain protection interior reconditioning and lifetime coating. The price for a standard detail starts at $100.00 and includes wash and wax, rim and tire cleaning and glossing, engine bay wash, vacuum, stain removal and interior reconditioning. The scratch removal packages are $135.00 for finishing, $160.00 for medium to finishing and $175.00 for heavy to medium to finishing removal. If you add in glazing to those packages it's $200.00. Clay bar service is $220.00. Specialized packages for dark colors and light colors are $240.00 and include ALL the above except lifetime coatings. Finally, the lifetime coating which comes with a 5 year warranty, covers the entire exterior and will protect against scratches, atmospheric fallout, chipping, hazing, headlight discoloration, bug guts, bird droppings, road tar, tree sap, brake dust and stuff as harsh as spray paint is $400.00 and you can add the interior service for just $100.00 extra and this packages includes everything listed above

Mike and I are trying to set this up for Michael to travel here. Michael would like to know a brief description on what each of you need done so that he can plan his trip better. Meanwhile, I have asked him about the cost and will update here as soon as I hear back from him.

Tofu (please ask him what he'll charge for full exterior detail [and whatever is included if any as far as interior detail goes) - my car is fairly clean but it does have some light swirls, and I'd love to get that paint correction done for sure.
