Spring Install
Hello!
Reading ppls feedback on this site I decided to purchase a set of swift sport springs
anyone know of a good shop in the Chicago land area that's capable of doing the work at a reasonable price.
If anyone from here is knowledgeable and confident in doing this install for extra $ I'm interested.
Thanks!

I've done this a few times and would be willing to help as well, but I will say that spring compressors (you can rent them from Autozone) make it immensely easier.
you can do springs without the compressor on the S. there's barely any pressure on the stock springs. you wont have to compress the swift spring either. your own body weight is enough to press down the top hat when reinstalling. i've done this multiple times (i actually just switched springs yesterday).

That’s how it was done. With passnu2’s help the install was a breeze and trouble free. Thanks again!
It’s a mild drop and is exactly what I wanted without having to take away anything from the way the car handles. I haven’t done an alignment yet so the car currently handles way worse than when on stock springs. Initially the ride was soft and bouncy, after about 4 days the ride started to stiffen up as the springs started to settle. Steering became less responsive and it drives like a boat on the expressways
. I knew that I needed an alignment after the install, but damn, I didn't know how important it really is, especially on the s2k. I'll wait another week for the springs to settle throw on a new set of tires and get it aligned. I’ll report back after this is done
