Default Static Cling

As most of you are aware, you need a city sticker that should be displayed on the from windshield if you live in the City of Chicago. I don't want to apply the sticker directly to the windshield because they are a b**ch to remove. Where can I get clear static cling (say 4" X 4") so that I can apply the city sticker on the cling and then display it on the windshield?

Thanks.

They have stuff on the counter near the registers at parts stores like Autozone or Pep Boys that is made for that. I can't remember the actual product name. It actually has a VERY mild adhesive on it. I have used it for a couple of years now without any issues.

Streamwood has dropped their Village stickers from 2005+ so once the one I have expires, I never have to get one (or more accuratly, three) again!

I usually put mine on a piece of plexi and just set it on the dash. kinda ghetto, but Ive never gotton a ticket for not having the sticker. it also makes it so you could put it in a different vehicle if you wanted, which is why you 'could' get a ticket for it. I dont get real elaborate with the 'plexi' either. last time I just used a cd case.

The packaging is red and blue with a yellow/gold old-time looking car on it. It's just an envelope about 4" x 6" tall.

i was talking about this exact same thing (static cling for city sticker) with some friends the other day. still haven't decided if i'm gonna get rid of the eclipse or not...man i hate driving that thing now. i would imagine a place like michael's (or whatever that arts & crafts store is) would sell pieces of static cling too, right? i'll probably look around this weekend.

I picked up a pack (contains 2 sheets) from Murray Auto. Pepboys by my place didn't have them. You can also buy online @ http://www.stickershield.com
